Within school each class has a designated energy monitor, who ensures that electrical equipment (lights, projectors and computer monitors) are turned off when not required, especially when the room is empty.
Our Energy Rangers across all year groups undertake an energy check once a week. They score each class on their energy efficiency with 4 being the highest score if all lights, monitors and projectors are turned off when not in use. At the end of every term our Rangers work with the Eco Committee to calculate the score for each class, with the most energy efficient class winning a certificate and prize which is presented during assembly.
Our Energy Rangers keep the profile of efficient energy usage high within our school; leading various challenges amongst classes and year groups.
