Covid-19 Guidelines

The current COVID procedures ended on Friday 1st April 2022.

As a school, we have continued to access relevant guidance, and have communicated with other local schools.

As asymptomatic COVID testing is not recommended, we intend to use the following guidance statement:

Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. They can go back to school when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.

If a child does test positive using a LFT the Government's advice ('Living with COVID - what this means for your child's education') is for them to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for three days, which is when they are most infectious.

As a school, we continue to keep in place our infection prevention and control measures that help to manage the spread of infection:

  • Ensuring occupied spaces are well-ventilated and let fresh air in.
  • Reinforcing good hygiene practices including hand washing and cleaning.
